Before We Arrive: Booking the Job
When you call or WhatsApp, we take the vehicle registration number and confirm the model year. On Arrival: Vehicle Assessment

Connecting to Pathfinder
We connect the Pathfinder diagnostic interface to the vehicle’s OBD port. Pathfinder authenticates itself to the KVM using JLR credentials. We read the current KVM state: how many keys are registered, whether any key profiles are deactivated or flagged, and whether there are any existing fault codes that need to be addressed before key work begins.
Key Programming: Spare Key Addition
If you have an existing working key, we present it to the KVM during the programming session. Pathfinder adds the new key’s profile to the existing key matrix without disturbing the existing key. The existing key continues to work unchanged. The new key is tested for all functions: passive entry at both front doors, start button, lock, unlock, and boot release.
Key Programming: All Keys Lost
If every key has been lost, we clear the entire KVM key matrix first. Every previously registered key profile is permanently deleted. We then write the new key profile into the cleared KVM and test. Additional keys can be added immediately while the Pathfinder session is active.
After the Job
Before we pack up, we confirm the key works for every function and that there are no outstanding fault codes in the KVM. We provide a 12-month warranty on the key and programming. Total time from arrival to departure is 45 to 90 minutes depending on the service.
