What the L663 Security System Uses
The L663 KVM-based security is the same architecture as the current Range Rover L460 and Discovery 5. Current L663 models use UWB proximity detection for the key. The key blank is physically different from older Defender remotes and from earlier JLR PEPS fobs. Pathfinder with current calibration data is required to programme it. Standard auto locksmith software cannot access the L663 KVM.
The Spare Key Job
