The second generation Range Rover Evoque (L551) sits on Land Rover’s premium transverse architecture and uses a fully encrypted security module that simply will not talk to anything outside of authorised JLR equipment. That is why owners often find themselves stuck between a long dealership wait and a high street locksmith who cannot help at all. AJ Auto is the alternative. The second generation Range Rover Evoque (L551, 2019 onwards) uses the Pivi Pro security architecture, which requires genuine JLR dealer-level software for key programming. An off-the-shelf programmer cannot access the L551’s encrypted Keyless Vehicle Module. We carry the correct JLR software and virgin L551 fob stock for all model years from 2019 to 2026 in the van.
A spare key on an L551 takes 10 to 20 minutes. An all keys lost reset takes 40 to 60 minutes. Both are completed on site without any recovery needed.

No. The L551 moved to a new five-button fob with a different hardware format and security architecture compared to the L538. The two keys are not cross-compatible.
Yes. The L551 Evoque and the Jaguar E-PACE X540 are built on the same platform and share very similar key hardware. If you have both in the household, we can programme keys for both on the same callout.
