The Jaguar Activity Key is a waterproof wristband that allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle while keeping the main smart key inside. How the Activity Key Works
The Activity Key wristband contains a passive transponder that stores a copy of the vehicle’s lock and unlock credentials. To use it, you hold the wristband against the JLR logo on the boot lid. The vehicle locks or unlocks. You leave the main smart key inside the vehicle. The Activity Key cannot start the engine — it is an access-only device. When you return to the vehicle, you press the boot logo again with the wristband to unlock, retrieve the main key, and start normally.
Programming a Replacement Activity Key
The Activity Key is programmed to the vehicle via a Pathfinder session similar to a standard key addition. The wristband contains an NFC-compatible transponder rather than a full smart key electronics package, so the programming process differs from a standard fob but still requires JLR software and a session connected to the vehicle. A replacement Activity Key wristband is available as an OEM part. We programme replacement wristbands on F-PACE, E-PACE, and I-PACE models.
Can You Have Multiple Activity Keys?
Yes. The KVM can hold profiles for multiple Activity Keys alongside the standard smart key profiles. If your vehicle came with one Activity Key and you want a second, this can be added at the same appointment as any other key work.
