Which Evoque Generation Matters
The original Evoque (L538, 2011 to 2018) and the current Evoque (L551, 2019 onwards) use different security architectures and different key blanks. The L551 uses the current KVM system with Pathfinder. The L538 used an older setup requiring SDD. Both are fully supported. When you call, we confirm model year and VIN so we arrive with the correct blank first time.
Services Available
Spare key: adding a second key to an Evoque that already has one working key. The existing key must be present at the appointment. Takes 45 to 60 minutes. All keys lost: clearing the KVM key matrix and programming a new key from scratch when every key has been lost. Takes 60 to 75 minutes. Key fob replacement: replacing a damaged, waterlogged, or non-functional fob body and electronics and reprogramming to the existing KVM.

We attend at your location: home, workplace, car park, or roadside. There is no need to deliver the Evoque to a dealer or workshop. Do I need to book in advance or can I call on the day?
In most cases, same-day attendance is possible without advance booking. Call or WhatsApp us with your registration number and location and we will confirm an attendance time.
Can I get both spare key and all-keys-lost done in one visit?
If every key has been lost, the all-keys-lost service covers gaining access and programming a new key. If you then want a second key, that can be programmed at the same visit while the Pathfinder session is open.
Is the Evoque key the same as a full-size Range Rover key?
No. The Evoque uses a different key blank from the full-size Range Rover. The KVM architecture is the same, but the key hardware is model-specific. A full-size Range Rover key cannot be programmed to an Evoque KVM.
What warranty is provided on Evoque key work?
We provide a 12-month warranty on all key parts and programming. If the key or programming develops a fault within 12 months, we attend and resolve it at no additional charge.

The Evoque is one of the JLR models where we see the widest range of key conditions at callout. Some owners present vehicles with well-maintained fobs in original condition, while others present vehicles where the key has been through multiple battery replacements, the case has been repaired with tape, and the lock button requires significant force to operate. This variation reflects the Evoque’s broad ownership profile across its production run. On L551 Evoques these conditions are less common, but on high-mileage L538 examples, the physical condition of the key is often as much of a consideration as the programming.

When to go to a dealer instead
If your vehicle is still under JLR factory warranty and the fault is covered, take it to a dealer. Warranty repairs are free and no specialist can match that. If you need a recall fix, the dealer is the right call. Outside of those two situations, a mobile JLR specialist will be faster, cheaper, and will attend at your location.
